Singapore Toy, Games & Comic Convention 2009 (1) - Cosplayers

Last year's toy convention was a fun-filled event for me (here and here). This year, I waited in anticipation and when the day arrived, I happily zipped down to Suntec for the event. I'd say it is OK but somehow it did not surpass or live up to my expectation. I was expecting to see more booths than last year. Maybe there were more booths this time, but they were not what I'm looking for. In fact, I couldn't even find Magma Heritage or Domuya. Have they boycotted the event?? On the good side, Blythe by Dollzinc has a nice booth this year (photos in part 2), Nintendo (Wii Fit) and cosplayers (including 501st Legion) graced the occasion.

Photo Shoot - Jessie Fashionista

After Red Dreams and Elisha Cuthbert, here is Jessie in her full costume from the boxset. Since body is not included, I took the one from my ZC Girl Eve. Problem is, the black dye has *already* stained the base figure so I might as well make the body permanent for Jessie.

A photo shoot is a creative exercise. Here is Jessie and Elisha Cuthbert. I first saw Elisha Cuthbert in the movie The Girl Next Door. Chio actress. If only my doll can strike that pose, hehe.

Photo Shoot - Jessie Red Dreams

Excited over the purchase of my first boxset (ST 001 Jessie), I set up a photo shoot at the first opportunity. Been kind of busy lately and procrastinating, finally here is it.

I like to experiment with new photo shoot techniques and angles, challenging myself to do better each time. I am not always successful, due to the environmental constraints and figure articulation.

This Red Dream photo shoot has - can you guess it - a LCD monitor as backdrop. The 'red curtain' is a high resolution full-screen image. Light source is mostly artificial lighting from my IKEA table lamp and a bit of natural lighting.
